Soviet Past Research Laboratory in collaboration with Media Development Foundation are teaming up on an exciting new project to boost media literacy and historical awareness among Tbilisi’s taxi drivers. The aim is to fight disinformation by turning taxi drivers into informed ambassadors within their communities. As part of the initiative, SovLab will lead specialized tours for taxi drivers, exploring Georgia's Soviet totalitarian past and debunking the myths often spread by Russian disinformation. At the same time, MDF will offer hands-on media literacy training. Eighty taxi drivers will participate in the program, with tours and training sessions running throughout August.
