The project ''Regional Platform for Understanding the Soviet Past'' was funded by Open Society Georgia and implemented by Soviet Past Research Laboratory.

An anthology - ''Understanding Soviet Past'', comprised of the discussions organized by Soviet Past Research Laboratory was published within the project.

A director Salome Jashi, using ten oral stories recorded by Soviet Past Research Laboratory, made a documentary ''Great Soviet Terror – Human Stories'' depicting the fates of the victims (and their family members) of Soviet repressions.

Five regional lectures and discussions as well as a presentation of the anthology and the documentary were organized in five differet places in Kakheti region.

Oral stories by the victims of Soviet repressions were also recorded within the framework of the project.
