The project ''Cooperation for a Strong Village'' was fulfilled by Community Development Centre and Center of Contemporary Art – Tbilisi in 2015-2017. The partners of the project includedthe following organizations: Soviet Past Researh Laboratory, Non-Governmental Monitoring of Cultural Inheritance and Civic Education Teachers Forum. The purpose of the project was to study the Georgian experience and examples of communal self-organization and cooperation that existed before the Soviet Occupation. As a result, a two volume book was prepared - ''Initiative for Changes – Experience of Communal Self-organization in Georgia before Soviet Occupation'', which tells the story of 20 different cases of successful communal mobilization during the period from the second half of the 19th century to 1921. The book also includes a brief historical oveview of the experience of communal cooperation. An exhibiton was also held within the framework of the project.

In 2017-2018 Community Development Centre and Sovlab worked on the project of a documentary film – ''Initiative isn't Punishable''.

In 2015-2016 the project was supported by Open Society Georgia.
